Blonyx is a North Vancouver-based sports nutrition brand for people with athletic ambition. We provide performance products to ambitious athletes of all sports across N.America and the UK, but with a particular focus on Western Canada. 


Our mission is to help as many people as possible achieve their athletic ambition. 


We are currently searching for an Event Team Lead (Part-Time) to join us on our mission. 


The Event Team Lead is responsible for executing and leading Blonyx’s on-site event presence at races (such as the RBC Gran Fondo and BMO Marathon), competitions, expos, and trade shows. This role involves overseeing booth operations, managing event staff, driving sales and engagement, and capturing content to support the Blonyx brand team.


This position requires an energetic, outgoing, and organized individual with leadership experience in event activation, sales, or customer engagement. The Event Team Lead will work closely with the Blonyx Brand Team to coordinate event logistics, staffing, and budget planning while ensuring the Blonyx Events Process—engage, educate, and take action—is effectively executed.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Working as part of our Event Team, the role will have the following responsibilities:

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Lead Event Operations & Team Execution

    1. Oversee booth setup and teardown, ensuring an efficient and professional appearance.

    2. Manage the event team by assigning and rotating roles (Engager, Educator, Closer) to maximize booth flow.

    3. Ensure the Blonyx Event Process is followed:

      1. Engage: Draw in attendees and identify their interests.

      2. Educate: Provide clear product information tailored to the audience.

      3. Take Action: Encourage purchases, lead captures, or business connections.

    4. Act as the primary liaison between the on-site team and the Blonyx Brand Team, communicating real-time event updates, challenges, and opportunities.

  2. Drive Brand Awareness & Sales

    1. Confidently speak about Blonyx products, their benefits, and how they fit into an athlete’s training.

    2. Ensure attendees take action by purchasing, scanning QR codes, or signing up for follow-ups.

    3. Identify potential business leads and connect them with the appropriate Blonyx representative.

    4. Support brand initiatives such as product sampling and giveaways to increase engagement.

  3. Maintain Event Efficiency & Customer Experience

    1. Monitor traffic flow and adjust booth team roles as needed to avoid bottlenecks.

    2. Keep the booth organized, well-stocked, and aligned with brand standards.

    3. Troubleshoot on-site issues related to logistics, technology (QR codes, payment systems), or booth setup.

    4. Ensure proper brand messaging and event guidelines are followed at all times.

  4. Capture Content for the Brand Team

    1. Take high-quality photos and videos throughout the event, highlighting:

      1. Customer interactions and product engagement.

      2. Athletes or influencers visiting the booth.

      3. Behind-the-scenes footage of the event team in action.

    2. Collect and submit all event content to the Blonyx Brand Team for use on social media, marketing, and internal reports.

    3. Ensure that any athlete, customer, or ambassador featured in content has provided appropriate permissions for brand use.

  5. Liaise with the Blonyx Brand Team on Budgets and Staffing

    1. Work with the Blonyx Brand Team to coordinate event staffing, logistics, and budget allocations.

    2. Provide recommendations on which events to attend based on prior performance and industry trends.

    3. Track and report event expenses, booth performance metrics, and sales outcomes for post-event evaluation.

  6. Post-Event Reporting & Insights

    1. Provide a recap report after each event, noting key takeaways, sales performance, customer feedback, and any operational improvements needed.

    2. Track and submit lead information (athletes, gym owner connections, distributor inquiries) to the Blonyx Brand Team.

Who you are

  • Someone who participates in sport regularly and understands the market (ideally you're a runner, cyclist, CrossFit/Hyrox/Weightlifter or member of another athletic community)

  • A natural leader who can motivate a team and keep energy high at events.

  • Passionate about sport and sports nutrition, with a strong understanding of athlete needs.

  • A skilled salesperson who can engage with people, educate them, and drive conversions.

  • Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to think on your feet and solve challenges quickly.

  • Comfortable using basic technology such as QR codes, mobile payment systems, and content capture tools.

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Experience in event marketing, trade shows, retail, or athletic industry sales.

  • Prior leadership experience, such as managing small teams at events, retail, or promotional activations.

  • Availability to work weekends and travel to events.

  • Physically capable of lifting event materials (e.g., booth setup, signage, product boxes).

  • Knowledge of sports nutrition and the athletic market (training background is a plus).

Salary: $30 per hour + performance-based incentives eg 10% of sales at each event 


Hours will vary greatly depending on event schedule and time of year. Most events are at weekends and evenings.
